Info Edge shares touched a day’s high of Rs 1,391 on Tuesday after its June quarter consolidated net profit surged 51% to Rs 445.73 crore.

The stock has now climbed for two straight sessions after the company’s June quarter numbers came in well ahead of last year’s performance, driven mainly by strong momentum in its recruitment and property listing businesses.

Let’s look at the numbers in detail. Consolidated net profit jumped 50.62% year on year to Rs 445.73 crore, up from Rs 295.92 crore in the same quarter last year.

Consolidated revenue from operations rose 11.37% to Rs 880.75 crore compared to Rs 790.86 crore a year ago. On a standalone basis, billings grew 14.4% to Rs 737 crore, with the Recruitment segment up 17.5% and 99acres up 16.5%.

Standalone operating profit before tax climbed 33.4% to Rs 333.9 crore, taking the operating margin to 40.5% of revenue.

The company runs a portfolio of well known internet platforms, including Naukri.com, Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com and Shiksha.com.

Management said hiring activity from enterprises improved during the quarter, and newer AI powered tools like AI-Rex and Talent Pulse continued to see growing adoption.

99acres moved closer to breakeven while Jeevansathi stayed profitable through the period. Cash generated from operations on a standalone basis also grew 25.3% to Rs 225 crore.

Over the past two trading days, Info Edge shares have gained 13%, and the stock has now climbed 52% from its three month low of Rs 909.20 touched back on May 25.

As of 15:15 pm, Info Edge was trading at Rs 1,377.10 on the NSE, up 7.42% for the day.
