GYFTR has signed a service agreement with PNB to offer coupon-based customer engagement and reselling solutions to its customers.
Under the arrangement, GYFTR becomes a service provider to PNB. The bank can now offer customers coupon-linked benefits as part of its engagement strategy.
That’s a fairly standard move for banks trying to keep customers active and coming back.
Loyalty perks and discount coupons have become common tools lenders use to hold on to customers in a market where switching banks has gotten a lot easier.
Terms weren’t disclosed. There’s no confirmed deal value, and no timeline for how long the agreement runs.
This sort of tie-up has become common in banking lately. Public sector banks increasingly lean on third-party platforms to add services without building everything in-house, and coupon or rewards platforms fit that pattern well.
Rather than build a coupon system from scratch, a bank can simply plug into a company that already has the infrastructure and merchant network ready.
For GYFTR, landing a bank the size of PNB is a solid addition to its client list. Punjab National Bank is one of India’s largest public sector lenders, with a customer base spread across both urban and rural markets.
That scale alone makes this tie-up meaningful for GYFTR, even without a disclosed contract value.
The company operates in the coupon and voucher space, helping brands and institutions run reward programmes for their own customers.
Its usual model involves partnering with merchants for discounts, then reselling access to those offers through partner platforms such as banks, apps or corporate clients.
It’s hard to say how much this partnership will actually move things for either side, since the real scale of the deal hasn’t been made public.
Banking tie-ups like this often start small and expand later, depending on how customers respond to the offers.
For now, PNB has one more partner in its customer engagement toolkit, and GYFTR has a bigger name on its client roster.
