Zodiac Energy shares touched a day high of Rs 254.35 after the company won an order for a 2,500 Kwp solar power plant.

The move came after Zodiac Energy told exchanges it had received a purchase order to supply, install and commission a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 2,500 Kwp.

The order was placed by a domestic company registered in Uttar Pradesh, though the client wasn’t named in the filing.

Zodiac Energy will handle the full scope of work, from supplying equipment to setting up and commissioning the plant, with the project expected to be completed by December 31, 2026, subject to the terms laid out in the purchase order.

The company confirmed there’s no related party angle either. Neither the promoters, the promoter group, nor any group companies have an interest in the entity that placed the order.

Zodiac Energy said the win should help build out its presence in the renewable energy space and add to revenue as the project moves through execution over the coming months. This isn’t the company’s only recent order win.

Back in April, Zodiac Energy secured a purchase order worth roughly Rs 5.44 crore from a Gujarat based entity, for a 1.87 MWp captive ground-mounted solar plant in Rajkot, executed under the Gujarat Renewable Power Policy’s open access model.

Taken together, the two orders point to steady deal flow across different states over the past few months.

Zodiac Energy is based in Ahmedabad and works across several parts of the solar and power segment, including rooftop and floating solar plants, solar trees, generator sets and battery energy storage systems.

The stock closed at Rs 247.85 on the NSE, up 2.19% or Rs 5.30 for the day.
