Juniper Green Energy shares slid to a day low of Rs 254.20 on the NSE, even as the company posted sharp growth in its June quarter results.
The numbers themselves tell a good story. Operating income came in at Rs 291 crore for Q1 FY27, up 81% from Rs 161 crore a year earlier.
EBITDA rose 89% to Rs 261 crore, and the operating EBITDA margin expanded to around 90%, up from 86% last year.
On a consolidated basis, total income climbed 79% to Rs 324 crore. EBITDA grew 86% to Rs 294 crore.
Profit after tax rose 54% to Rs 33 crore, while cash PAT increased 50% to Rs 108 crore. A lot of this growth traces back to capacity additions.
Juniper Green commissioned 601 MWp of renewable capacity during the quarter, its highest ever in a single quarter, split between 458 MWp of solar and 143 MW of wind.
It also added around 403 MWh of battery storage. Including 167 MW of wind capacity commissioned after the quarter closed, operational capacity now stands at 2,575 MWp.
There’s been fresh order activity too. On August 26, the company signed a 25 year power purchase agreement with SJVN for a 50 MW project at Rs 4.25 per unit.
It also picked up a large SECI tender covering 870 MWp of capacity and 2,200 MWh of battery storage, along with a 50 MW wind project from GUVNL.
Juniper Green made its market debut on August 6 at Rs 245, an 8.9% premium to its IPO price of Rs 225.
As of 13:58 pm, shares were at Rs 256.20 on the NSE, down 4.20% for the day. Even after today’s fall, the stock is still trading above both its IPO price and its listing day price.
