Shares of Hazoor Multi Projects Ltd (HMPL) remained flat on 27 August after the company secured a fresh contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for operating a user fee agency at Paranur Fee Plaza in Tamil Nadu.
The development adds another highway-related contract to the company’s order pipeline and strengthens its presence in toll collection operations.
The latest contract involves operating the user fee agency through competitive bidding at Paranur Fee Plaza at km 52.820 on the Tambaram-Tindivanam section of NH-45, covering the stretch from km 28.000 to km 74.500 in Tamil Nadu. The project was awarded by NHAI following a competitive bidding process.
The new order adds to HMPL’s growing exposure to the highway and toll collection business. The company is engaged in renewable energy and road construction projects under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model, while also undertaking user fee collection contracts for highway authorities.
The latest win follows an earlier contract worth Rs 28.47 crore from NHAI, highlighting the company’s continued efforts to expand its infrastructure-related order book. HMPL had also secured a separate NHAI contract in August for collecting user fees at the Ramnagar Fee Plaza in Madhya Pradesh, valued at more than Rs 24 crore and scheduled to run for one year.
The company has secured several toll collection contracts over the past year. In February 2026, HMPL received a Rs 44.23 crore NHAI contract for user fee collection at the Balenahalli fee plaza on the Challakere-Hiriyur section of NH-150A in Karnataka. The contract included fee collection along with upkeep and maintenance and was also awarded for one year.
The fresh contract comes at a time when HMPL is trying to build a larger infrastructure and energy business. Its combination of road-related EPC activities, toll collection and renewable energy exposure gives the company multiple avenues for growth, although execution and cash-flow management remain important for a relatively small infrastructure player.
At 1:55 pm, the shares of HMPL were trading flat at Rs 20.35 on NSE.
