DocPharma Raises $2 Million to Expand Healthcare Network

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its presence to 50 cities across India.

Healthcare supply chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 million (around Rs 19 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round as it looks to expand its quick-commerce infrastructure across India.Β

The round was led by Equentis, with participation from existing investor 100Unicorns, angel investment network Vinners and several other angel investors.

Founded in 2024 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma operates as a backend supply chain platform for healthcare businesses.

Instead of requiring pharmacies, hospitals and other healthcare platforms to build their own delivery networks, the startup provides warehousing, inventory management and fulfilment infrastructure through its network of licensed dark stores.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its presence to 50 cities across India and set up 100 new licensed dark stores. Its proprietary platform, called DocPharma One, brings together warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and fulfilment operations.

Each of its dark stores can hold more than 40,000 SKUs, while an AI-driven and pharmacist-led compliance system is used to manage healthcare products. The platform supports pharmacies, health insurers, hospitals, direct-to-consumer wellness and nutraceutical brands, as well as pet-care businesses. DocPharma says its network can help partners fulfil healthcare orders in under 30 minutes.

The startup currently operates across more than 12 cities and claims to have fulfilled over 8 lakh orders, with a fulfilment rate of more than 95%. The latest funding comes as quick commerce expands beyond groceries and food into specialised categories such as medicines and healthcare products.

Competition in the segment is also increasing. Pharmacy-focused quick-commerce startup Plazza recently raised $15 million in Series A funding, highlighting the growing investor interest in faster medicine delivery and technology-led inventory management.

For DocPharma, the new funding will be important as it moves from operating in a limited number of cities to building a much wider healthcare fulfilment network. Its ability to maintain regulatory compliance, delivery speed and inventory accuracy while expanding will be key to its next phase of growth.
