Suzlon touched a day high of Rs 45.77 on Tuesday after securing a 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power.

The order comes from Ayana Renewable Power, and it marks Suzlon’s first ever contract with the company. Under the deal, Suzlon will supply 200 MW of wind energy capacity.

Here’s a bit more context. This is Suzlon’s third order under what’s called the DevCo model, a system where renewable energy projects are developed jointly, years before actual construction begins.

This particular project is located in Madhya Pradesh, while the three DevCo-led orders together span two states, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

With this latest win, Suzlon’s flagship S144 turbine platform has now crossed 10 GW in total sales, a notable milestone for the company.

As part of the project, Suzlon will install 64 units of its S144 wind turbine, each rated at 3.15 MW.

The company’s EPC business will handle the entire scope of work, including turbine supply, land acquisition, setting up supporting infrastructure, grid connection, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance.

The project site is located in Limbawas, Madhya Pradesh, and the power generated will be fed into the state grid run by MPPCL.

Speaking on the deal, Suzlon Group Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said Madhya Pradesh holds strong wind energy potential and is set to play a key role in India’s next phase of wind power growth.

He added that Suzlon has now won two consecutive wind orders from the state. This isn’t a one-off for Suzlon either.

The company had previously secured a 201.6 MW order to power Waaree’s first wind project in Andhra Pradesh, along with a 400 MW EPC contract from Tata Power Renewable Energy, also under the DevCo model.

As of 14:29 pm, Suzlon shares were trading at Rs 45.43 on the NSE, down 0.26% for the day. The stock remains down over 13% so far in 2026.
