Indoco Remedies Shares Surge After UK Regulator Clears Goa Plant

Indoco Remedies Ltd
The UK-MHRA inspected Indoco Remedies' solid dosage manufacturing facility at Plant I in Goa.

Shares of Indoco Remedies Ltd Surge 7% on Thursday, September 10, after the company announced that its Goa manufacturing facility successfully completed an inspection by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (UK-MHRA).

The UK-MHRA inspected Indoco Remedies’ solid dosage manufacturing facility at Plant I in Goa between September 7 and September 9. The inspection concluded without any critical or major observations, providing a positive regulatory update for the pharmaceutical company.

The outcome is important for Indoco Remedies because the Goa facility supplies medicines to several regulated international markets. The company said the plant serves the UK, Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Canada, with these markets expected to contribute around 30% of its total international business.

The facility already holds approvals from several major regulatory authorities. These include the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Malta Medicines Authority and WHO-GMP.

The plant has also successfully completed an audit by South Africa’s South African Health Products Regulatory Authority. The latest UK-MHRA outcome further strengthens the plant’s regulatory credentials and could support Indoco’s efforts to expand its presence in developed markets.

The development comes shortly after a separate regulatory update involving the company’s Goa operations. The USFDA inspected Indoco’s Plant II sterile facility between August 27 and September 4 and issued seven observations in Form 483. The company said it was addressing these observations and would respond to the regulator within the required timeline.

Indoco’s latest quarterly performance also showed improvement. Its June 2026 quarter revenue rose 6.76% year-on-year to Rs 467.50 crore, while net profit stood at Rs 64.99 crore compared with a loss in the previous quarter.

At 12:52 pm, the shares of Indoco Remedies were trading 4.43% higher at Rs 241.43 on NSE.
