Emerald Finance Ties Up With Ace Financials for Wage Access

Instead of waiting for payday, staff can access a portion of their earned salary at any point during the month.

Emerald Finance has partnered with Ace Financials to launch an Early-Wage-Access program that lets employees draw part of their earned salary early.

The company disclosed the tie-up to the BSE on 11 September under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations.

Ace Financials, based in Zirakpur, Punjab, will work alongside Emerald Finance to bring this facility to employees at partner companies.

The idea is simple. Instead of waiting for payday, staff can access a portion of their earned salary at any point during the month.

Here’s how it actually works. Emerald Finance ties up directly with employers, and the amount an employee draws is treated as a short-term advance.

This advance then gets automatically deducted from the employee’s salary in the following cycle, so there’s no separate repayment process for the borrower to manage.

For Emerald Finance, this move fits into a broader shift the company has been making.

Rather than sticking only to traditional lending products, the firm is expanding into newer, embedded finance models.

Early wage access sits well within this strategy, since it opens up a fresh revenue stream built directly into payroll systems, while also giving the company a new way to reach retail borrowers through their employers.

The company has framed this partnership as part of its long term plan to widen its product suite and serve a broader base of customers.

By working through employers rather than approaching individual borrowers directly, Emerald Finance can potentially scale this offering across multiple companies and sectors over time.

This disclosure adds to a string of recent announcements from Emerald Finance as the company continues building out partnerships to support its lending and financial services business, positioning itself in a space that has been gaining traction across India’s fintech sector in recent years.
