India Pesticides Soar After on Product Approvals in UK and Argentina

India Pesticides Ltd
The latest approvals are part of India Pesticides' strategy to expand its export business.

Shares of India Pesticides skyrocketed 14% on September 16 after the company announced regulatory approvals for two products in the United Kingdom and Argentina.

The company secured Technical Equivalence approval in the UK for one of its insecticide products. This approval provides a regulatory pathway for the product to enter the British crop protection market, where compliance requirements are stringent.

In Argentina, India Pesticides completed the registration of one herbicide product. The approval allows the company to pursue commercial opportunities in the country’s agrochemical market and strengthens its presence in Latin America. Both regulatory milestones were achieved on September 15, 2026.

The latest approvals are part of India Pesticides’ strategy to expand its export business and reduce its dependence on the domestic market. The company has been building its international registration portfolio, with recent approvals also secured for products in the European Union and Morocco.

The overseas expansion comes after a softer first quarter for the company. India Pesticides reported consolidated revenue of Rs 251.76 crore in Q1 FY27, down 8.51% year-on-year, while net profit fell 34.82% to Rs 22.74 crore. However, its full-year FY26 revenue crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark at Rs 1,057.42 crore.

The new approvals could support the company’s export pipeline as it gains access to additional regulated markets. However, actual revenue benefits will depend on commercial launches, customer demand and the pace of product sales in these countries.

The stock’s sharp move reflects investor attention around the new international opportunities, while the company’s ability to convert these regulatory clearances into higher export volumes and revenue will remain important to watch.

At 12:23 pm, the shares of India Pesticides were 6.45% higher at Rs 141.25 on NSE.
