HCLTech has been selected by M Group, a UK and Ireland infrastructure firm, to lead an AI driven IT overhaul across 200+ locations.

The deal will see HCLTech deploy its AI Force service platform, built to modernise both infrastructure and end user operations. The goal is to make M Group’s IT systems faster, more resilient, and easier to scale as the company grows.

This matters because M Group isn’t a small operation. It runs essential services across water, energy, transport, defence, technology and communications, and public sector work, so any disruption to its IT systems can have real consequences on the ground.

That’s part of why this deal stands out for HCLTech too. Working with critical infrastructure clients leaves very little room for error, since downtime or system failures aren’t just inconvenient, they can affect essential public services.

HCLTech has built a track record in exactly this kind of environment over the years, and this new engagement adds to that.

Chloe Anfield, Chief Technology Officer at M Group, said the partnership is meant to raise the quality, reliability and scalability of IT operations for everyone on the ground and in the office.

On HCLTech’s side, Ajay Bahl, who serves as Chief Growth Officer and Global Head for Energy and Manufacturing, spoke about the responsibility that comes with modernising the technology backbone behind such critical infrastructure.

The scale of this win also says something about where HCLTech stands today. The company now employs more than 223,000 people across 60 countries, and reported consolidated revenues of 14.8 billion dollars over the twelve months ending June 2026.
