Shares of Skipper jumped more than 2% on September 23 after the company announced fresh orders worth Rs 797 crore across domestic and international power transmission and distribution projects.
The new orders include contracts for the supply of transmission towers and monopoles for power transmission and distribution projects in Australia. Skipper also secured a domestic contract for a 765 kV transmission line from a reputed developer.
The latest wins strengthen the company’s presence in the high-voltage transmission segment, particularly in technically complex projects.
Skipper Director Sharan Bansal said the new orders across India and international markets would further expand the company’s presence in higher-voltage transmission infrastructure. The company also highlighted growing demand for its products in developed overseas markets such as Australia.
The Australia business is an important part of Skipper’s international expansion strategy. The company supplies transmission structures and related products to overseas markets, while its domestic operations cover transmission and distribution projects, engineering, procurement and construction activities.
The latest order win adds to Skipper’s exposure to India’s ongoing power infrastructure expansion. The 765 kV project falls within the higher-voltage segment, where demand is linked to the development and strengthening of transmission networks.
The company’s recent financial performance has also shown growth. Skipper reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 56.81 crore for the June 2026 quarter, up 25.52% from Rs 45.26 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue increased 4.46% year-on-year to Rs 1,309.83 crore.
Skipper operates across power transmission and distribution, telecom infrastructure, railway structures and polymer products. Its Power T&D portfolio includes transmission towers, monopoles, poles and EPC services, with the company having experience in projects up to 765 kV.
The Rs 797 crore order inflow provides additional visibility for the company’s execution pipeline and strengthens its international business.
The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 580, while at 2:10 pm, it was trading around Rs 571.10, up 1.70% on the NSE.
