The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 13 points at 23,110, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Friday. 

Earlier on Thursday, 24 September, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex crashed by 1,247.71 points or 1.67%, and settled at 73,580 while the Nifty50 traded 1.64% lower by 383 points, closing at 23,063.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 25 September.

Waaree Energies: Waaree Energies’ subsidiary, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions, has entered India’s specialty gases business. The company aims to become a one-stop supplier of specialty gases for semiconductor and solar cell manufacturers in India.

Sterlite Technologies: Sterlite Technologies has expanded its Neuralis Data Center portfolio with pre-terminated fiber trunk assemblies ranging from 48F to 6,912F. The high-density cabling solutions are designed for hyperscale and enterprise data centres facing rising bandwidth requirements driven by AI, cloud and high-performance computing.

Dr Lal PathLabs: Dr Lal PathLabs’ board has approved the acquisition of a 70% stake in SN Genelab from its existing shareholders for up to Rs 168 crore. Following the transaction, SN Genelab will become a subsidiary of the company.

LCC Projects: LCC Projects has emerged as the L-1 bidder for the construction of the Chhoti Kalisindh Medium Irrigation Project in Rajasthan. The sprinkler-based project, powered by solar energy, will be developed across the Chhoti Kalisindh and Chahurni rivers in Gangdhar, with an estimated project value of Rs 653.34 crore.

JSW Cement: JSW Cement has received a show-cause notice from the Additional Commissioner, Central Tax, Belagavi Audit Commissionerate, over an alleged GST short payment due to incorrect classification. The department has proposed a GST demand of Rs 229.85 crore, along with applicable interest and a 10% penalty, for the period from April 2022 to March 2024.

L&T Technology Services: The company has entered into a strategic partnership with Cognite to develop and deliver industrial AI and data solutions for asset-intensive industries. The partnership will combine LTTS’ Engineering Intelligence portfolio with Cognite’s Industrial AI capabilities.
