APL Apollo Tubes reported record quarterly sales of 963,143 tonnes in Q2 FY27, up 13% from a year ago and 29% higher than the previous quarter.
The Delhi NCR-based steel tube maker shared the figure on 1 October. It is the company’s highest quarterly volume so far.
The earlier best was 924,881 tonnes, set in the January to March quarter of FY26.
A year ago, the company sold 855,037 tonnes in the same quarter, so the exact rise is 12.6%, which rounds to 13%.
In the April to June quarter this year, it sold 744,823 tonnes. That is about 108,000 tonnes more than a year ago and about 218,000 tonnes more than the previous quarter.
The half-year picture is calmer. Sales for the first six months of FY27 came to 1,707,966 tonnes, up 4% from 1,649,387 tonnes a year earlier.
The April to June quarter was weaker than the same period last year, which held the half-year growth back.
The main APL Apollo brand did most of the work. It sold 774,751 tonnes in the quarter, against 653,680 tonnes a year ago.
The core brand alone made up about 80% of the quarter’s total. Roofing products also grew, rising to 135,255 tonnes from 105,071 tonnes.
Two units went the other way. The SG Premium brand sold 26,910 tonnes, down from 38,356 tonnes.
UAE operations managed 26,227 tonnes, against 57,931 tonnes last year. So the record quarter rests on the core brand and roofing.
APL Apollo makes structural steel tubes. These go into urban infrastructure, real estate, commercial construction and engineering projects.
The company runs 11 plants in India, besides its UAE operations, with a production capacity of 5 million tonnes.
It sells over 5,000 product varieties through more than 800 distributors in over 300 towns and cities.
The update covers volumes only. The company gave no revenue or profit figures for the quarter.
