The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 35 points at 22,760, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Wednesday. 

Earlier on Tuesday, 6 October, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 685 points or 0.95%, and settled at 73,067 while the Nifty50 traded 0.98% higher, up 220 points, and closing at 22,776.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 7 October.

Mahindra Lifespace: Mahindra Lifespace Developers has launched Mahindra Rivenza, a residential project in Baner Annex, Pune. The project has an estimated gross development value (GDV) of around Rs 3,500 crore.

HCL Technologies: HCL Group has announced an expansion of HCL IT City with a planned investment of Rs 500 crore. The expansion will add up to 9.5 lakh square feet of capacity, enough to accommodate around 4,500 technology professionals. Separately, HCLTech plans to train 1,000 students across Uttar Pradesh in AI and allied technologies through its LITMUS programme during FY27.

Mphasis: Mphasis will extend its partnership with Social Security Scotland through a £35.4 million agreement. Under the contract, the company will manage and maintain Social Security Scotland’s benefits management platform, which provides core benefits and services to around 2 million citizens across Scotland.

JSW Cement: The company has commissioned an additional 1.00 MTPA cement grinding unit at Nagaur, Rajasthan. With the new unit, the company’s total cement grinding capacity has increased to 25.10 MTPA. Its total clinker manufacturing capacity, including the capacity of its joint venture JSW Cement FZC, now stands at 9.74 MTPA.

Godrej Consumer Products: The company’s subsidiary, Godrej Consumer Products Indonesia, has inaugurated the first phase of its new manufacturing facility in the Kendal Special Economic Zone. The company has invested around Rs 250 crore in the facility to strengthen its manufacturing presence in Indonesia.
