Brahmaputra Infrastructure shares hit a day high of Rs 149.90 on 9 October, up 6%, as its joint venture led the bidding for a bridge project.
In a government tender, the bidder quoting the lowest price is called L-1. BIL-GKCPL, a joint venture between Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited and GKCPL, currently holds that position for a bridge across the River Ravi in Punjab.
The Executive Engineer of the Construction Division, PWD (B&R) Branch, Pathankot, Government of Punjab, is the source of the Rs 89.73 crore tender.
Being L-1 is a step before the formal award of the work. The bridge will stand at Makoura Pattan.
It will have 44 spans of 36.50 metres each, which makes the bridge itself about 1.6 km long. Approach roads add another 4.1 km or so, bringing the whole project to roughly 5.75 km.
Execution is set at 24 months. The company first disclosed this in a filing dated 17 September, and said the awarding body is not a related party.
Brahmaputra Infrastructure has been collecting contracts across the country this year.
It reported a Rs 78.09 crore order from West Bengal’s state power distribution company for a road and access tunnel at a pumped storage power project in the state, and it received a Rs 70.18 crore order in August from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to maintain NH-502A in Mizoram for five years.
Revenue for 2025-26 came in at Rs 365.47 crore. At 14:13 pm, the stock was trading at Rs 143.88 on NSE, up by 2.41% from the previous close of Rs 140.49. The share is still down 3.34% over the past week and 8.42% over the past month.
The company’s market worth is approximately Rs 417.52 crore. On October 8, it reached its 52-week low of Rs 138, while on August 19, it reached its 52-week high of Rs 184.
