Hexaware Technologies shares hit a day high of Rs 574.50 on 9 October, up over 12%, after it signed a multi-year partnership with Anthropic.

Anthropic is the AI company behind Claude. Hexaware told exchanges that the deal makes the Indian IT services firm a Preferred Partner in the Claude Partner Network.

Two of Hexaware’s own platforms will now be powered by Claude. Zerovity handles engineering work.

AgentVerse lets clients build and manage AI agents, which are software helpers that complete tasks on their own, and it already holds more than 600 ready-made ones.

Claude will be used by Hexaware to market services that prioritize outcomes over effort. The company said clients increasingly want to pay for outcomes in IT operations and software engineering.

People matter here too. More than 1,100 Hexaware staff already hold Claude certification, and training will now spread across the firm’s delivery teams.

The two companies will also work together on sales, joint products and customer rollouts. This is not a first meeting.

On 25 June, Hexaware became an authorised reseller of Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Amazon’s cloud service for AI tools. The new agreement takes that tie a step further.

A leadership change is also coming. Hexaware named Vivek Jetley as CEO Designate on 2 September, and he takes charge on 28 October 2026.

On NSE, the stock opened at Rs 533 against a previous close of Rs 511.40 and ran up to the Rs 574.50 peak.

It gave up part of that gain later and closed at Rs 538.50, up 5.30%. With a market worth close to Rs 32,903 crore, Hexaware has increased by around 10.5% in the last week but has decreased by roughly 28.50% in 2026.
