Premier Energies shares touched a day high of Rs 904 on 12 October, up about 1%, after it reported Rs 4,001 crore of orders for the quarter.
Premier Energies Limited told exchanges on Friday evening, 9 October, that it picked up orders worth Rs 4,001 crore between July and September, the second quarter of FY27.
The orders cover 2,308 MW of solar cell and panel supplies, plus project building work.
The buyers include power generators, panel makers and project builders. Retail sales are not counted.
A solar cell is the small wafer that turns sunlight into power. Many cells joined together make a panel, which the industry calls a module.
Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja said the growing order pile backs the company’s plan and its ability to deliver.
He added that Premier, which he called India’s largest integrated solar manufacturer, can serve customers of all kinds. The company has also grown its factories.
Panel capacity is now close to double its earlier level, at 11.1 GW, while cell capacity jumped from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW after a new 7 GW plant at Naidupeta in Andhra Pradesh came on stream last month.
GW, or gigawatt, is the unit used to measure factory output. Trial runs have begun at the plant.
Separately, Premier went ex-dividend on 8 May, with an interim payout of Re 0.75 per share.
At 12:10 pm, it’s trading at Rs 891.10 on NSE, down Rs 4.25 or 0.47%, so the early gain has faded.
The share is up about 5.2% this year but down around 12.9% over 12 months. Over the past 52 weeks, it has ranged between Rs 660 and Rs 1,134. Its market value is about Rs 40,452 crore.
