RailTel bagged a Rs 20.04 crore surveillance order from Pune District Co-Op Bank. Its shares hit a day high of Rs 227.95 on 30 October.

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd told exchanges that the Pune District Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd has given it an order worth Rs 20,03,83,492, before tax.

In plain terms, RailTel will supply, fit and look after an integrated surveillance system for the bank. It will also buy back the bank’s existing CCTV equipment.

RailTel has until 30 October 2031 to complete the contract. The company received the order on 29 October at 5:46 pm.

It is a domestic customer project with no related-party transaction, and the promoters have no interest in the bank.

The details were filed under SEBI’s Regulation 30 disclosure rules. RailTel is a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, based in New Delhi.

It runs a large telecom network and sells broadband, VPN, data centre, cloud and surveillance services to railways and other public and private clients.

This is not its only recent win. Sources reported that RailTel also secured a Rs 197.18 crore order from State Bank of India for network links and a Rs 48.98 crore digital governance contract from Odisha’s Higher Education Department in October.

The Re 1 interim dividend adds another date to watch. The stock goes ex-dividend today, which means new buyers no longer receive the payout.

At 12:47 pm, RailTel shares were trading at Rs 223.25 on NSE, down by 2.60% or Rs 5.95.

It’s close to its 52-week low of Rs 220.85, hit on 29 October, and well below the 52-week high of Rs 391.
