Shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) continued their upward movement and gained 2% on 2 November, rising for the fourth consecutive trading session after the company announced fresh construction orders worth between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore. 

The latest development strengthened investor interest in the engineering and construction major. L&T’s Residential, Commercial Buildings and Factories business has secured multiple orders from a major client for projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

In Mumbai, the company will construct nine residential towers, each with one basement and 50 floors. The Bengaluru project involves nine residential towers, each featuring three basements and 25 floors.

In Hyderabad, L&T has received an order to construct a premium commercial tower with five basements and 22 floors. The company has also secured additional orders for some of its ongoing projects.

L&T classifies contracts worth Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore as significant orders. However, the company has not disclosed the exact value of these projects.

The latest order win comes shortly after L&T reported a 33% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 5,202 crore for Q2 FY27. Revenue grew 16% to Rs 78,750 crore, while order inflows increased 28% to Rs 1,47,665 crore.

The new contracts strengthen L&T’s presence in India’s residential and commercial construction market. A growing order pipeline and strong execution will remain important factors for sustaining its business growth.
