Man Infraconstruction Bags Rs 583 Cr Mumbai Orders

Man Infraconstruction
Man Infraconstruction surges after the firm won two construction orders worth Rs 583 crore.

Shares of Man Infraconstruction Ltd hit a day high of Rs 111.54 on 3 November after the firm won two construction orders worth Rs 583 crore.

In an exchange filing, the Mumbai-based builder said its bigger contract is worth Rs 508 crore, for a tall residential tower at Marine Lines in South Mumbai.

The tower alone makes up about 87% of the combined value. The other one is Rs 75 crore.

That one comes from Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal Private Limited, which handed the company a letter of acceptance, a formal go-ahead from a client. The work involves reclaiming land on a triangular yard at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, also known as Nhava Sheva Port, in Navi Mumbai.

The company called it a repeat order. Together, the two wins lift the company’s EPC order book to around Rs 858 crore, up from Rs 275 crore in September.

The new orders alone are more than double the September figure.

EPC stands for engineering, procurement and construction, which means the firm handles the whole build for a client.

Managing director Manan Shah said the bigger pipeline gives the company’s building arm a clearer view of revenue over the next few years, while the group will keep building for its own projects and take outside work selectively.

According to the filing, the group has more than six decades of experience in ports, infrastructure, mass housing and high-rise construction.

It has built over 60 projects covering more than 60 million square feet.

The orders arrive days after the company’s results for the September quarter, which it announced on Thursday 29 October.

At 11:52 am, it’s trading at Rs 108.70 on NSE, up by 1.11% from the previous close.

Even so, the stock has lost 25.38% over the past year and sits well below its 52-week high of Rs 149.58, though far above the low of Rs 77.12.
