Ravindra Energy Gains as Energy In Motion Partners With Sorigin

Ravindra Energy Ltd
EIM will provide its Ashwa 55 tonne electric tractors along with charging infrastructure.

Shares of Ravindra Energy gained 2% on 5 November after its Joint Venture company, Energy In Motion (EIM), signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sorigin Green Mobility for the deployment of 500 electric heavy commercial vehicles over the next two years.

The partnership, announced on 03 November 2026, aims to support the adoption of electric freight transportation across major cargo and industrial corridors in India. Under the agreement, EIM will provide its Ashwa 55 tonne electric tractors along with charging infrastructure, battery swapping networks and energy management solutions.

Sorigin Green Mobility will support the deployment and operation of the fleet. The companies aim to make the transition to electric freight easier for customers by providing an integrated transport solution without requiring them to make large upfront investments.

The partnership will focus on high cargo movement routes, including the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority ecosystem. The initial phase is expected to begin with the deployment of 18 electric heavy commercial vehicles at JNPA.

Energy In Motion is a Joint Venture company of Ravindra Energy and focuses on building an electric mobility ecosystem for long distance freight transportation.

Heavy commercial vehicles are among the most difficult segments to electrify because of their high energy requirements and long operating hours. Battery swapping and dedicated charging infrastructure could help reduce vehicle downtime and improve the commercial viability of electric trucks.

The agreement gives Energy In Motion an opportunity to expand the commercial deployment of its electric trucks. However, the long term success of the programme will depend on infrastructure development, fleet performance and the ability to scale operations across major freight corridors.

The partnership also reflects the growing focus on cleaner transportation solutions in India’s logistics sector.

At 12:28 pm, the shares of Ravindra Energy were trading 0.44% higher at Rs 142.40 on NSE.
