Hindustan Zinc Ltd has paid Rs 3,000 crore to the government in special dividend.
On March 30, HZL had declared a “special golden jubilee dividend” at the rate of 1,200 percent — Rs 24 per equity share of Rs 2 each for 2015-16.
The government’s holding HZL is 29.54 percent and a cheque of Rs 2,995 crore has been handed over by the HZL CEO Tom Albanese to the Finance Minister Arun Jaiteley towards the dividend.
