BHEL has commissioned another 520 MW coal based power generation unit in Andhra Pradesh.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has said in a statement that the unit has been commissioned at the 2×520 MW Vizag thermal power project of Hinduja National Power Co Ltd (HNPCL), Visakhapatnam.

BHEL has executed the Vizag project on engineering, procurement and construction basis. The project has been located on the coast of the Bay of Bengal.

Significantly, the project uses single flow condenser and sea water as main cooling water.
