Bharat Forge, the engineering solutions provider has set up an ordnance equipment factory in Pune for manufacturing barrels, breech, muzzle brake for artillery systems and tanks like the T-72, T-90 and Arjun.

The company has said in a statement that the facility was inaugurated on October 1 by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

B N Kalyani, Bharat Forge Chairman and Managing Director has said that “We have been at the forefront in establishing a vibrant defence industrial base in the country. In the past few years, we have invested sizeable resources for developing a wide range of products and technological capabilities to manufacture various critical items of defence systems, equipment and components.”
