Mohanjeet Singh, East Delhi Municipal Commissioner has said that the MoU has been signed by the Delhi Municipal Corporation Union Ministry of Urban Development, Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for reclamation of the landfill site and use of the municipal solid waste for construction purposes.

He said that all the parties have agreed for mining, excavation and collection of the waste located at the dumpsite covering and area of about 29.62 hectares.
