MMTC, a public sector company is going to partner with the State Bank of India (SBI) for selling the government minted ” Indian Gold Coins”.
The company has already tied up with over half a dozen banks, and has sold one lakh pieces of “Indian Gold Coin” so far, it has set a target of selling 5 lakh units in the next few years.
Its Chairman and Managing Director Ved Prakash has said that ” Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the coin on November 5, 2015, we have tied up with seven banks to sell it.”
