NTPC, is going to raise Rs 3,925 crore through issuing debentures on a private placement basis for the purpose of meeting its funding requirements.
NTPC LTD has said in a BSE filing that “NTPC has decided to raise Rs 3,925 crore through private placement of secured non-convertible debentures at a coupon of 7.37 percent per annum with a door to door maturity of 15 years on December 14, 2016.”
The proceeds are going to be utilised for financing capital expenditure/refinancing the debt requirement in on-going projects and other general corporate requirements.
