The Israel Aerospace Industries has got a major deal worth USD 630 million with India for supply of advanced long range air and missile defence systems for four ships of the Indian Navy.

IAI has said that the USD 630 million deal is for supply of Long Range Surface to Air Missile (LRSAM) systems.

IAI and India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation have jointly developed the LRSAM.

It consists of several key state-of-the-art elements, advanced phased-array radar, command-and-control system, launchers and missiles with advanced radio-frequency (RF) seekers.
