The US health regulator has provided its approval to the drug firm Zydus Cadila for marketing levofloxacin injection which is used in treating bacterial infections, in the American market.

Zydus Cadila has said in a BSE filing that the company has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market levofloxacin injection, 500mg/20mL and 750mg/30mL.

The company is going to manufacture the product at its Moraiya plant in Gujarat.
