Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Chairman has announced the launch of the JioPhone at the 40th AGM of Reliance Industries (RIL), terming it the most affordable feature phone of the World.
At the AGM, Ambani has said that the phone will effectively be free of cost, “at Rs 0 for all Indians.”
He said “We will collect a 100 percent refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500, which will be refundable after three years.”
On August 15, JioPhone will be available for beta testing while its pre booking will start from 24th August, from September this year it will available physically.
