The Finance Ministry, may inject approx Rs.70,000 crore via recapitalization bonds in the bad loan hit public sector banks in the coming 4 months.
Finance Minister, last month had announced Rs.2,11,000 crore recapitalization plan for PSU banks, out of which Rs.1.35 lakh crore will come via recapitalization bonds.
At present, the government is finalising the structure of bonds. Once, it is done, the government will front load bond issuance and it is assumed that it will be between Rs.70,000 and Rs.80,000 crore.
