ITC has posted a 16.75% YoY jump in net profit, at Rs.3,090.20 crore for the quarter ended December 31,2017. Last year, in the corresponding quarter it had reported a profit of Rs.2,646.73 crore.
Total income decreased 35.86% YoY to Rs.10,579.11 crore for the December quarter, while in the same quarter previous year it had reported an income of Rs.14,257.91 crore.
Further, segment wise, cigarette revenue declined by 44.14% at Rs.4,629.19 crore in the quarter ended December 31,2017, against Rs.8,287.97 crore in the year ago period. Revenue from hotels increased 9.15% YoY to Rs.404.44 crore for the December quarter.
