JSW Steel Ltd’s US unit, as a part of Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Texas Governor’s office, will invest upto USD 500 million for expanding its Texas operations.
The company in a statement said, the governor has also given approval to a grant worth USD 3.4 million from the Texas Enterprise Fund to JSW Steel (USA) Inc.
The capex plan, comprises setting up a melt manufacture contiguous plate and pipe facility in Texas and it will be completed by March 2020.
