Adani Enterprises to Set Up Hyper-Scale Data Centre Park at Bengal Silicon Valley

On Monday, West Bengal Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee said the state government had approved Adani Enterprises to set up a hyper-scale data centre park in the Bengal Silicon Valley in the New Town area on the city’s outskirts.


Speaking at a press conference in the state assembly, Chatterjee said the cabinet had approved the company to set up the facility on 51.75 acres of land.


“The state cabinet today approved Adani Enterprise’s proposal to set up a 100% hyper-scale data centre park in Bengal Silicon Valley in New Town, Rajarhat. The project will be built on 51.75 acres of land, which has been leased for 99 years,” Chatterjee said. He declined to disclose the employment that the project would create.


Bengal Silicon Valley is an innovative information technology hub designed to attract investment with employment potential in IT, ITES and telecom projects.


During the sixth edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit in April this year, Adani Group pledged to invest Rs 10,000 crore over a decade in port infrastructure, data centres and seafloors, digital innovation centres, and complementary hubs warehouses and logistics parks.
