Acko General Insurance, has received the R3 application and has been granted certificate of registration by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India(IRDAI).
It will be country’s first online general insurance company and it is expected it will start its operation by December 2017. The company will be targeting young audience who are comfortable with online transactions.
Varun Dua,Founder,Acko General Insurance stated,”We are now ready to operate in general insurance space, we will initially start with four branches. We are looking to start operations by December 2017,by selling multiple products through online channel.”
