ACME Solar Shares Gain 3% on 2 GWh Battery Energy Storage Order

ACME Solar Holdings
With this order, ACME Solar’s total BESS procurement surpasses 5 GWh.

Shares of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd surged 3% to touch a day’s high of Rs 315 on 8th September. This happened after the firm announced it had placed an order for 2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with leading global energy supplier Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The order was placed through POSCO International Corporation and China FAW Group Import and Export Co., Ltd.

The 2 GWh BESS order will be delivered in phases over the next six to ten months. It will be deployed across ACME Solar’s FDRE (Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy) and standalone BESS projects. The projects are scheduled for commissioning over 12–18 months.

With this order, ACME Solar’s total BESS procurement surpasses 5 GWh, following a 3.1 GWh order placed in July 2025. CEO Nikhil Dhingra said the purchase will ensure timely BESS availability, help de-risk project timelines, and accelerate overall project delivery.

Jason Lee, Director of POSCO International, said the deal strengthens their presence in India, one of the world’s most promising BESS markets. Lu TianJun, General Manager of Lishen, added that the agreement will support energy efficiency initiatives in India. It will also build a foundation for long-term growth.

At 2:35 PM, the shares of ACME Solar were trading 2.97% higher at Rs 305.10 on NSE.
