ACME Solar Holdings Ltd hit a day high of Rs 416.20 on 19 October after the company signed a 300 MW peak power supply deal with SECI.
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) will buy this power at Rs 6 per unit. ACME Solar signed the agreement through its arm, ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd, and it took effect on 6 October 2026.
Here is the idea in plain words. Solar plants stop producing once the sun sets, yet homes and offices still need electricity through the evening.
This project pairs solar generation with large batteries, so energy can be stored during the day and sent to the grid at night.
The deal sits under SECI’s FDRE-IX round. FDRE stands for firm and dispatchable renewable energy, which simply means power that is available on demand instead of only when the sun shines.
ACME Solar has to supply 4 MWh for every MW of contracted capacity, spread over any four hours a day outside sunlight hours.
The battery side of the project adds up to 1,200 MWh. The plant must also stay available at least 90% of the time every month.
For the connection, the company plans to use the night-time grid access it already holds.
In its filing, ACME Solar said neither its promoter nor promoter group has any interest in SECI, and the deal is not a related-party transaction.
PPAs are now signed for 4,310 MW of the 5,380 MW ACME Solar has under construction.
Across solar, battery storage, FDRE, hybrid and wind projects, its total contracted portfolio stands at 8,370 MW.
About 3,123 MW is already operating, along with 4.96 GWh of battery storage.
It is up 72.51% so far this year but down 5.73% over the past month. The 52-week high is Rs 476.90, set on 22 September. The Nifty 50 was down 0.87% at the time.
At 12:15 pm, it’s trading at Rs 410.40 on NSE, up by 0.10% or Rs 0.40 from the previous close of Rs 410.
