Adani Group Stocks Closed 2-7% Higher, Under Watch Due to Several News Updates

All Adani Group stocks ended Friday’s trading session in the green.

Due to multiple news developments, all Adani Group stocks ended Friday’s trading session in the green. Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone were among the top gainers on Nifty 50.

The total market capitalisation of the Gautam Adani-led conglomerate’s listed companies reached the Rs 11 lakh crore mark for the first time after the Hindenburg report.

Adani Power shares were in focus after GQG Partners acquired 31 crore shares or an 8.1% stake in the company for Rs 9,000 crore or $1.1 billion. Shares of Adani Power closed 6.30% higher at Rs 304.60 on Friday.

The share price of Adani Green Energy surged over 9% during the day after it announced that Mundra Solar Energy, of which the company holds 26%, received the commercial operational date certificate from Solar Energy Corporation of India for Solar PV Cells and Solar PV Modules manufacturing plant located at Mundra in Gujarat. The scrip settled 7% higher at Rs 999.

Another reason for the spotlight was the reports stating that Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) is considering investing up to $2.5 billion in the group’s power industry. However, the company clarified in an exchange filing that they are not engaged in talks with TAQA.

The group’s flagship company, Adani Enterprises, saw its shares surge more than 7% to end the day 3.68% higher at Rs 2,570.95. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, another blue-chip Adani group company, ended 3.36% higher at Rs 834. 

Adani Total Gas’s share price closed 3.36% higher at Rs 655, Adani Transmission’s share price closed 5.84% higher at Rs 870.25, and Adani Wilmar’s share ended 3.91% higher at Rs 382.50 on Friday’s session.

Adani Group’s acquired cement companies- Ambuja Cements and ACC, rose 1.57% to Rs 453 and 1.72% to Rs 1,933.50, respectively. At the same time, its media and broadcasting arm NDTV ended Friday’s session 1.56% higher at Rs 224.45.
