Ahluwalia Contracts Surges 12% on Order Win Worth Rs 150 Crore

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) rose 12% to Rs 465.50 in intraday trading on Tuesday after the company secured a new order worth Rs 150 crore from Ritnand Salved Education Foundation for construction works at BSE friendly campus in Bengaluru.


This puts the company’s total order inflow at Rs 863 crore in the 2022-23 financial year (FY23). Shares were up 9% at Rs 453.65 at 12.24 pm, while the S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.70%. It touched a 52-week high of Rs 563.50 on April 11, 2022.


Last month, Ahluwalia Contracts secured an order worth Rs 209 crore from DC Development Noida Ltd to construct the Adani Connex data centre in Noida (UP).


The company has also secured new orders totalling Rs 442 crore for constructing the National Police Academy in Nepal under a joint venture (JV). The total work order for the project is Rs 630.95 crore, and the company’s 70% stake in the joint venture is Rs 442 crore.


In FY22, the company’s turnover rose 35.8% to Rs 2,692 crore with an Ebitda margin of 10.61%. The company has a net order book of Rs 5,870 crore as of March 31, 2022, which will be executed over the next 2 to 2.5 years.


In FY23, Ahluwalia Contracts guided for 15% revenue growth, while Ebitda margins should be between 12% and 13%. The company has guided order inflow of around Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 3,000 crore in FY23.
