On Thursday the telecom major Bharti Airtel announced that its Africa unit has appointed former executive of South Africa based telecom operator MTN, Anwar Soussa as the Managing Director for Airtel Chad with effect from May 1.

“As the new Managing Director, Anwar will be responsible for revamping Airtel Chad’s commercial capabilities, whilst building a superior network that will continue offering Chadians a competitive customer value proposition,” Airtel Africa’s Chief Executive Officer, Christian de Faria said in a statement.

Anwar Soussa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the American College of Greece and a Master of Science degree in Marketing from Concordia University.
