Amazon India to Invest Rs 2,000 Crore in 2025 to Boost Operations Network

Amazon
Other parts of Amazonโ€™s core consumer business may also see reductions.

Amazon India will invest over Rs 2,000 crore in 2025 to expand and upgrade its operations network across the country. The funds will be used to launch new sites, upgrade existing facilities, and improve delivery speed and efficiency.

The investment will also support employee and associate well-being initiatives. These initiatives include expanding rest areas for delivery partners (Ashray), providing financial education (Samridhi), offering scholarships for their children (Pratidhi), and offering healthcare support to truck drivers (Sushruta). Amazon plans to provide free health check-ups to over 80,000 delivery associates and partners by the end of 2025.

Additionally, Amazon is developing new technologies to enhance road safety and improve delivery performance. This includes tools to monitor driving behaviour, ensure helmet use, and simplify delivery routes. The driver app will also be upgraded to offer better navigation, onboarding, and item verification through photos and videos.

The move is part of Amazonโ€™s broader push to strengthen its logistics network and improve service for customers in India.
