Just a day after users faced disruptions, Anthropic’s AI chatbot Claude went down again. This marks its second outage in less than 24 hours.

On 3rd March, thousands of users across regions reported problems accessing the chatbot, its mobile app and website. Downdetector data showed a sharp rise in complaints during the morning hours.

In the United States, over 4,000 users flagged issues around 9:35 AM local time. About 40% reported trouble with the chat function, 34% faced app-related problems, and nearly 15% said the website was not working.

In India, close to 300 users reported disruptions, mainly linked to the chat feature. They also had difficulties accessing the app and the web platform.

Claude’s official status page confirmed “elevated errors” across claude.ai and related services, adding that the issue is under investigation. The company has not yet shared the cause or a timeline for full restoration.

The latest outage follows a similar disruption a day earlier. At that time, users in multiple regions were unable to access the chatbot for several hours. This included more than 1,000 complaints from India.
