Anti-Drone Guns Deployed In Punjab and Jammu Region

Anti-drone guns were deployed around the region between the Punjab border and Jammu. Border Security Force regulates the task. At least 200 drones have been seen hovering along the border with neighbouring-country Pakistan in the past two years.

Last week, Home Minister Amit Shah demanded security forces to make Indian borders impossible to invade.
So far, 107 drones have been spotted along the international border in Punjab and Jammu region; 97 were seen in the first seven months of last year.

During an Interview, a BSF officer informed that this year seven drones had been shot down in Punjab by BSF (Border Security Force), and all of those drones were carrying weapons. Last year 97 drones were sighted, 64 were spotted in Punjab, and 31 in the Jammu region. Two drones were spotted hovering along the Line of Control in the Jammu sector. The BSF guards 198 km of the 553-km-long international border and LOC with Pakistan.
