Apollo Micro Systems Shares Gain on Rs 213 Crore Defence Orders

Apollo Micro Systems
The latest contracts are expected to strengthen the company's order book and reinforce its position.

Shares of Apollo Micro Systems Ltd were trading with minor gains on 5 August after the company announced securing new defence orders worth Rs 213.39 crore from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Defence Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and private sector clients.Β

The latest contracts are expected to strengthen the company’s order book and reinforce its position as a key supplier of defence electronics and aerospace systems in India.

The orders have been received as part of the company’s regular business operations. While Apollo Micro Systems has not disclosed the detailed scope of the contracts, the projects are expected to involve the supply of advanced defence and electronic systems for various government and strategic applications.

The order win comes shortly after the company successfully delivered an indigenously developed Safety and Detonation Device (SDD) to the Indian Navy, replacing an imported solution. The achievement highlighted Apollo Micro Systems’ growing capabilities in designing and manufacturing critical defence technologies under the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

Apollo Micro Systems has been steadily expanding its presence across defence, aerospace and homeland security. The company develops mission-critical electronic systems, avionics, weapon control systems, surveillance equipment and communication solutions for organisations including DRDO, the armed forces and defence PSUs.

India’s increasing focus on defence modernisation and indigenous manufacturing continues to create opportunities for domestic defence companies. Rising government spending and higher local procurement are expected to support long-term growth for firms operating in the sector.

As defence production gathers momentum in India, the company is well positioned to benefit from the growing demand for advanced indigenous defence technologies.

At 2:10 pm, the shares of Apollo Micro Systems shed their early gains and were trading 0.3% lower at Rs 397 on NSE.
