Shares of Astra Microwave Products Ltd were trading with muted gains on 15 December after the company announced that it has received an order worth Rs 124 crore.
Astra Rafael Comsys, the company’s joint venture, has placed an order for the provision of modules, cable assemblies, and antenna for SDR for a total consideration of Rs124 crore, inclusive of all applicable taxes.
Last week, the company received an order for the procurement of six Klystron-based S-band Polarimetric Doppler Weather Radars (DWRs) as well as associated systems such as AWS and Disdrometers with a three-year warranty followed by a seven-year CAMC for a total consideration of Rs 171.38 crores, inclusive of all applicable taxes and GST.
Astra Microwave Products Ltd (AMPL) designs and manufactures advanced RF and microwave sub-systems for the defence, space, meteorology and telecom sectors in India. Founded in 1991, the company delivers indigenous, end-to-end solutions for radar, electronic warfare and satellite communication systems, and has recently secured a major contract from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for S-band Doppler weather radars.
AMPL’s portfolio includes radar electronics such as T/R modules, power amplifiers and digital receivers; electronic warfare and radar warning receiver (RWR) sub-systems; strategic electronics like guidance units and transponders; and critical RF modules used in key space missions, including NISAR. The company also supplies Doppler weather radar systems to the IMD for meteorological applications.
At 3:25 pm, the shares of Astra Microwave were trading 0.15% higher at Rs 908.50 on NSE.
