Shares of Axiscades Technologies Ltd hit a day high of Rs 2,067.40 on 29 September, locked in the 10% upper circuit after a large block deal.

The trigger was a heavy trade in the counter. About 45.49 lakh shares changed hands in the block deal window at Rs 1,824 each, taking the deal value to Rs 829.72 crore.

The buyers and sellers are still unknown. A block deal is a single large trade of at least Rs 10 crore, done in a special exchange window. An upper circuit is the most a stock can rise in a day, and for Axiscades that is 10%.

Only buyers were in the queue. The order book showed bids and no sell orders, and sources reported it as the biggest one-day gain since 1 July 2024. Jupiter Capital Pvt. Ltd., the promoter, held 58.04% of the company at the end of June.

The defence-linked firm has been busy. In August, it moved to take a majority stake in Cloud Wave Technologies, a Bengaluru precision engineering firm valued at around Rs 260 crore.

On 22 September, it also set up an aerospace subsidiary, Akkodis Axiscades Aerospace Engineering. June quarter results showed two sides.

Consolidated revenue, including discontinued operations, hit a quarterly record of Rs 346.7 crore, up 42.2% from a year earlier, but the company posted a loss of Rs 14.8 crore against a profit of Rs 20.9 crore.

At 14:00 pm, Axiscades Technologies was trading at Rs 2,067.40 on NSE, up Rs 187.90 or 10.00% from Monday’s close of Rs 1,879.50.

It’s up nearly 54% this year, though below its 52-week high of Rs 2,211.00 from 11 May, and its market value stands at Rs 8,793.37 crore.
