Axiscades Tech Shares Hit 5% Upper Circuit on New Orders

Axiscades
Ravikumar Joghee said the partnership shows AXISCADES’ focus on innovation and Make in India.

Shares of Axiscades Technologies Ltd were locked at 5% upper circuit on 30 July after the company announced securing ‘significant’ new orders through its defence subsidiaries for a total consideration of Rs 600 crore.

The orders add to the existing orderbook and are planned to be implemented over the next 3-5 years, providing a steady revenue stream during prototype and full-scale manufacturing phases, according to Axiscades. The recent orders are significant, accounting for roughly one-third of the company’s existing orderbook of around Rs 1,800 crore.

The orders, which span airborne, marine, and radar-based platforms from defence laboratories, involve the development and delivery of subsystems for indigenous platforms being developed by DRDOs and other PSUs. This also increases the company’s involvement in vital defence efforts such as fighter aircraft upgrades, naval modernisation, and long-range surveillance radar systems, the company stated.

Axiscades listed the important defence electronics initiatives and contributions that it has received in the most recent order.

  1. AESA Radar Program (Su-30MKI Upgrade) The order covers the development and supply of important radar subsystems such as the Exciter Unit, Receiver Unit, and Antenna Beam Control Motherboard.  These components are critical and will replace the present Russian radar on the Su-30 MKI, hence increasing indigenous capabilities.
  2. TR modules for S-band surveillance radars.  Advanced Transmit-Receive (TR) modules are designed and delivered to considerably improve target recognition, tracking precision, and signal fidelity in long-range surveillance operations.
  3. LRBMR – KUSHA Axiscades will facilitate the development of indigenous Digital Beam Forming (DBF) modules for the Long-Range Battle Management Radar.  This radar system operates in the S-band and has a detection range of over 500 km, allowing for simultaneous multi-target tracking and improved situational awareness.
  4. Electric Heavy Weight Torpedo (EHWT): Designed and delivered the Homing Receiver, a vital component for autonomous target acquisition in next-generation submarine-launched anti-submarine warfare (ASW) torpedoes.
  5. Submarine sonar systems: This is a production order, and it indicates the company’s ability to produce several sonar subsystems, supporting its rising presence in underwater warfare electronics.

Axiscades’ CTO, C Manikandan, said the orders reflect the core strength in radar, sonar, and electronics. “These wins also highlight our deep integration into the ecosystem of India’s premier Defence research and production agencies.”

At 11:47 am, the shares of Axiscades Technologies were locked 5% higher at Rs 1,299.50 on NSE.
