Bajaj Housing Finance has raised ₹2,439.29 crore by selling bonds to select investors. The money gives the home loan lender steady funding for roughly the next ten years.

The company’s Debenture Allotment Committee approved the allotment on October 7, 2026. Investors received 2.50 lakh secured non-convertible debentures, which are bonds that cannot be swapped for company shares. Each bond has a face value of ₹1 lakh.

The bonds pay 7.87% interest a year, and the first payment falls on August 4, 2027. The company will repay the principal on August 4, 2036. In simple terms, it has locked in a fixed borrowing cost for about a decade.

That matters because home loans run for many years. When a lender funds them with long-term money, it avoids rushing to refinance every time short-term loans fall due.

The bonds also come with protection for buyers. They carry a first pari-passu charge on the company’s loan receivables and book debts, with asset cover of 1.00x. That means the money customers owe the company backs the bonds, and investors share that claim equally with other secured lenders at the same level. The company plans to list the bonds on the BSE wholesale debt segment.

This is not the company’s first recent raise. In September 2026, it collected ₹1,985.65 crore on September 8 and ₹807.82 crore on September 25 at 7.79%, repayable in August 2031.

On October 3, the company shared provisional numbers for the July to September quarter. Assets under management grew 25% from a year earlier to ₹1,58,190 crore. Gross disbursements rose 25.2% to ₹19,930 crore. Full results are due on October 16, 2026.
