On Wednesday, it was declared by Bharti Airtel that in its strategy to increase scalability in cloud offerings, it has picked up a strategic stake in the Trivandrum based tech startup Waybeo.

Among the startups to enter the fast-growing Airtel Startup Accelerator Program, Waybeo comes fifth in line. Its specialization is on deep AI-based analytics for cloud telephony.

It is predicted for the Indian cloud services market to achieve US$7.1 billion in the year 2024, suggests IDC. In this prospect, cloud telephony has an increasing outlook in development with businesses taking processes to cloud-based platforms. Bharti Airtel discusses Waybeo’s cutting-edge analytics tools in enterprising the cloud telephony segment.

“Under the Airtel Startup Accelerator Program, Waybeo’s solutions will get larger distribution reach while giving Airtel access to Waybeo’s proven as well as emerging technologies. Airtel serves over 2,500 large enterprises and more than a million emerging businesses with an integrated product portfolio, including Airtel Cloud, a multi-cloud product and solutions business,” company said in the regulatory filing.

Chief Product Officer Adarsh Nair discussed the transformation taking place in cloud technologies and the techniques of customer service and satisfaction. He added that they were excited on including Waybeo with their Startup Accelerator program and for providing a scalable platform of the technologies as part of Airtel’s world-class cloud services ecosystem.

“We are really focused on enterprise adoption for our call intelligence tools. Most of the enterprises drive hundreds of thousands of phone calls a month. There is no analytics, no automation, and no means to optimize the customer experience. We look at strategic investment from Airtel as an opportunity to scale our technology and enterprise reach,” said Krishnan R V, CEO, Waybeo.
